Blimey, has it really been nearly a year since I last posted?!
It's a strange thing isn't it - when you don't have a life, you have all the time in the world to post messages to things like this - except that you don't actually have anything very interesting to say. Then the flip side of the coin is that when you
do have lots of things to talk about - you invariably (or at least this is what I've found) don't have time to make blog entries!!!
Ironic eh?
Still I guess most of you who read this page will already know that things have moved on rather significantly since I last posted. Not only did I start working freelance for TV, I now have a full time job doing precisely that! And it's probably one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I couldn't work in a nicer environment, with a more interesting, diverse and hilarious bunch of people. The job is INCREDIBLY satisfying, and I'm loving every minute of it.
Actually that's not entirely true. Once you've got over the honeymoon period of getting a new job, I think it's inevitable that you're going to settle into having good and bad days. But I think overall the good outweighs the bad - and there's certainly never a dull moment in the Newsroom!
It's been quite strange leaving my relatively short freelance career behind me - but it certainly stood me in good stead for what I am doing now - and looking back on it - I wouldn't have changed what I did in that time (apart from maybe getting a bit more money for my trouble ;-)
I could make a new years resolution (albeit a month or so late) about updating my blog more often - but I don't see the point in that - as I'll probably only break it - and if I don't then hurrah - more Swanny babblings on the internet !!!! :-) (as though there aren't enough of those already!!!)
