Did I mention this was a rant? Sense really has no place in it!

Hmm - I feel like I should be posting here today (probably just because it's new - and like all new things you take loving care of it to start with - and then after a few minutes the novelty has worn off and you give up) Still - I kinda hope that doesn't happen.

I went out shopping today - and spent far too much money - but that's kinda the way with me and shops - if we've been parted for a few weeks I tend to go slightly OTT. I did buy some items of interest and/or use, including a new shirt, a new keyboard for my PC (over-use of ICQ and AOL IM have led to a defunct spacebar) and a magazine that has a review of my second Judge Dredd CD - for those of you who don't know, I work as a Post Production editor/sound designer on a series of audio drama's - for more info - and to see my name in lights (or should that be pixels?) visit www.bigfinish.com and click on the 2000AD logo.

Back to the review which was in Dreamwatch magazine - It was a terrible review, not in any way related to the product - which they were very impressed with - just terrible in the sense that it was about 2 paragraphs long, and half of that was gabble, so nothing that mentioned any aspect other than the plot - which I suppose is par for the course with most reviews - but a brief mention of the overall production wouldn't have gone amiss. Still I bought it cos I thought it was cool to see something I had worked on reviewed in a popular magazine.

I also bought a Star Trek book - cos I haven't read one of those in ages, and quite fancied the idea (now I've frightened you all off by revealing what a boring person I am, I'll carry on talking to myself!!)

I bet you're all dying to know what happened today regarding Friends Reunited (perhaps not) - Well I can sum it up in two words "bugger all".

Suffice to say, it's not playing on my mind quite so much today - decisions such as what to buy in Asda were much higher up the list, and whether I'd be able to scrape off the dead flies from the front of the car without getting them stuck up my fingernails.

I've had three people sign the Mascalls guestbook today (well four if you count James, who was partly involved, and signed it simply to tell me that he liked the design of the site - Thanks James!!) - Two of the people already knew the situation regarding the association - and the third said it was "all such a long time ago!" (if anyone's actually interested the web addy is - www.mascallsfpa.cjb.net - and although it will probably stay online, it won't have much of a purpose after the 25th of September, as you'll see if you read the site! :-)

Still - 3 people a day, over the next 20 days - I make that 60 signatures - about 33 percent return - Not bad, but I bet that happen!!

UPDATE - I've just been able to send an email via Friends Reunited!! Hurrah! All is not lost. (mutters - there's no one I want to contact now!)

Well Hello!!

This is certainly something interesting and new - I like new things, it's like Christmas all over again. Right, well firstly thanks must go to Nathan (http://snathe.blogspot.com) for unleashing, I mean introducing my to the world of the Blog.

Now - I'm going to give anyone who's reading this the worst possible first impression of myself - This evening I have blatantly broken the Posting Guidelines on Friends Reunited and actually I feel quite guilty about it - I mean I'm a bit of an old woman when it comes to all things nostalgic - and although I very rarely use FR, the thought of *NOT* being able to use it disturbs me. Basically I was trying to send lots of emails to former pupils at my school in order to divvy up some interest in a website I have just launched (it was related - a Former Pupils association for the school) - but alas I sent far to many emails in one day - about 189 too many seeing as all of them contravened FR's rules. Still I shall await the dreaded slap me on the wrists email tomorrow - and hope that'll be an end to the matter.

Still - it's 189 more people that know about the site now than this time last night - so that can't be a bad thing, can it?
